Our Beginnings
We started as a small group of community-minded individuals discussing whether Falcon should formally incorporate. We agreed that the political and financial climate did not support incorporation at this time but that there was value in advocating for the area and its unique identity. To manage our operations, we established five Officer positions (two are currently vacant, with functions managed by one individual.
Who We Are
Kevin Curry
Chair, Treasurer
Kevin is a retired Air Force Colonel with 29 years of service. He moved to Colorado Springs when he retired in 2004, and moved to Falcon in 2018. An active volunteer, he has served on the El Paso County Planning Commission, the El Paso County Board of Adjustment, the Colorado Springs Citizens Transportation Advisory Board, and the Colorado Springs Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee, and he volunteered with a local children's literacy organization. His civic engagement, extensive travel, Master's Degree in Business, and many years as an operational analyst and leader all help him contribute to Friends of Falcon mission and objectives.

Tonni Sultana
Communications Director
Tonni is a USAF veteran and an Engineer. She is an active community member who has worked with several local government organizations, and currently serves as our Falcon representative on the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG) Community Advisory Committee. She also leads and participates in many volunteer programs and local community events throughout the year.

Janet McMonigal
Vice-Chair
In the Falcon area for 15 years, Janet is a local real estate agent and certified Military Relocation Professional. She has been called the “Heartbeat of the Community” for her passion and her active participation in neighborhood functions, supporting small business owners, and participating in fundraisers. Prior to her work in realty, she operated 2 successful businesses and represented a Fortune 500 Company. Those accomplishments, along with her extensive sales training, business management experience, and strong communication skills make her an ideal community resource and a proud representative of Friends of Falcon.

Yvonne Shell
Secretary
Yvonne is a recently retired Registered Nurse who moved to Meridian Ranch from Denver in 2019. Yvonne earned a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration and Management, a Master’s Degree in Nursing, and a diploma in Banking. Her skills include finance, management, budgeting, research, operations, leadership, team building and nursing. Yvonne is excited to serve the community by utilizing the many skills she has obtained over the years
